To provide children with a safe, educational, and nurturing environment to build their future.

Fondation Matana places education and child protection at the heart of its work. Since its inception, the organization has developed initiatives to support the most vulnerable children and provide them with a safe, educational, and stimulating environment.

Through its programs, the Foundation aims to develop balanced, responsible young people who are engaged in their community.

La maison des enfants

Since 2010, "la Maison des Enfants" has been accommodating up to 120 orphaned children in Arcahaie.

The program offers:

  • Accommodation and daily supervision

  • Psychosocial support

  • Primary education

  • Cultural and sporting activities

  • Music lessons are mandatory to promote personal and artistic development.

La Maison des Enfants provides a safe, learning, and developmental environment for the children it welcomes.

"One child, one egg a day" program

Nutrition is an essential element of children's development.

Between 2015 and 2016, the Foundation, with the support of Food for the Poor, implemented the "1 child, 1 egg per day" program.

Thanks to egg production in the chicken coops of the Arcahaie farm:

  • Four schools in the region benefited from the program

  • Nearly 2,000 children received an egg per day

This program links agriculture, nutrition, and education to improve students' health and concentration at school.
