Our story

Founded in 2004, Fondation Matana is a Haitian non-profit organization committed to the human, social and sustainable development of Haiti.

For more than twenty years, we have been working alongside young people and vulnerable communities to create concrete opportunities in the fields of education, agriculture, community health, sport and culture.

Initially based in Port-au-Prince, the Foundation transferred its activities to Arcahaie in 2010 before extending its actions in the Great North, notably in Cap-Haïtien, Grand-Pré and Terrier-Rouge.

Our approach is based on a simple conviction:
Sustainable development in Haiti depends on education, discipline, work, cooperation, and the transmission of values.
