Food and Veterinary

To train a new generation of farmers and agricultural technicians.
Agriculture, livestock
and agricultural and veterinary training
Fondation Matana considers agriculture to be an essential driver of Haiti's economic and social development.
Thanks to its farms in Arcahaie, Fondation Matana develops agricultural and livestock activities while training young people in modern, sustainable practices.
These farms serve as both production centers and training centers.

Agri-food Processing
Fondation Matana also develops activities related to the processing of agricultural products.
These initiatives enable:
-
to promote local harvests
-
to create economic opportunities
-
to strengthen the autonomy of trained young people
Agri-food activities are integrated into training courses, camps, and internships in order to impart practical skills to participants.
Agricultural and veterinary training
Fondation Matana offers residential training programs for young people wishing to specialize in agricultural professions.
The training courses include, in particular:
-
Applied agricultural techniques
-
Applied veterinary techniques
-
Livestock management
-
Sustainable agricultural production
In 2025, an initial group of 20 young people from several departments across the country underwent three months of residential training on the farm, allowing them to learn directly on the ground.
