Summer Camps
Youth camps and agricultural summer camps
Since 2014, Fondation Matana has been organizing annual youth camps and agricultural summer camps for children and teenagers aged 6 to 14.
These camps bring together young people from different departments of the country around educational, agricultural, and cultural activities.
Activities offered
Participants take part in several activities:

agricultural and environmental workshops

sports activities

civic workshops

Haitian music and culture

educational games and group activities
Young people discover the work of the land while developing their sense of responsibility and solidarity.
Impact
Since the program's creation:

9,150 children and young people participated in the camps

Nearly 10,000 seedlings are produced each year by the participants.
The camps also offer children:

two hot meals a day

educational and recreational activities
These initiatives help to strengthen the link between youth, agriculture and sustainable development.
