Community health is one of the essential missions of Fondation Matana.

Since 2011, the Foundation has developed several initiatives to improve access to care in communities.

Health center and mobile clinics

Between 2011 and 2019, Fondation Matana implemented:

  • a health center in Arcahaie

  • mobile clinics in schools, markets, churches, and public spaces

These actions have made it possible to provide medical care to populations that often have little access to health services.

Impact of the program

Thanks to the support of the organization Smile of a Child (TBN), Fondation Matana was able to assist nearly 3,000 people per month.

The actions included:

  • medical consultations

  • drug distribution

  • preventive care

  • health awareness

Fondation Matana also trains community health workers and first responders to strengthen local capacity to meet health needs.

These programs contribute to a lasting improvement in living conditions in communities.
